Phil, thing I hope you have learned is not to use Priceline. Book directly with the car rental company. Adding a third party ends up hurting you in the long run. You might have had a better time and better chance of having the car company trying to find you a car at another location if you had booked directly.

Just as with hotels when booking through an OTA, the car rental companies don’t put any extra effort into helping when you don’t book direct. When you book a hotel through an OTA- they give you the worst rooms and often won’t upgrade you. If the rental company had the van and someone walked in an hour before you arrived that would have paid more money for the van - guess who they are giving the van to?
