As was suggested I contacted Travelocity's Expedia office and received the royal run around. Their excuse for the lake of refund is that Lufthansa did not cancel part of the return flight on Austria Airlines (owned by Lufthansa) and if I asked them (Expedia/Travelocity) to cancel the flight I would not be eligible for a refund.
