Hotel in Turkey I booked gave me somewhat of a backhand threat?

I have spoken to PL, my next step would be to email the PL people, lets see what comes out of it and I will make sure to let you guys know the final outcome.

Hotel in Turkey I booked gave me somewhat of a backhand threat?

Thats my second step. I spoke to PL they said they'll contact the hotel and ask them to cancel all three for a full refund. No, I will definitely be more professional when writing to executives.

Hotel in Turkey I booked gave me somewhat of a backhand threat?

These were the exact words from the chase email "If a purchase was declined, you will not be charged unless YOU try again". Their email said "unless YOU TRY AGAIN" not the hotel try again. From previous experience with a $1400 airline ticket being banned and I myself having to book it again...

Hotel in Turkey I booked gave me somewhat of a backhand threat?

I said that if the hotel denies me the room I paid for, then I can always go to FCBA.

Hotel in Turkey I booked gave me somewhat of a backhand threat?

Good advice. I didn't want to spend too much for the hotel because I was going to be out most of the time and only needed a place to crash in at night. This is my first ever time in the 6 years I have used priceline to change a booking and a pretty terrible way to learn a hard lesson. Last time...

Hotel in Turkey I booked gave me somewhat of a backhand threat?

I would like to see how you would feel if you were on the receiving end of it. Easy to say all this for other people, but I am sure you would consider the matter differently if you were involved in any way. They have no legal right to deny the reservations I have paid in full for, I would be...

Hotel in Turkey I booked gave me somewhat of a backhand threat?

Worst is worst, I will just end up the price I should have paid for a better hotel and would stay in a terrible one. Chase didn't know what the charge was for, they just sent a general email saying the charge was blocked and that I would need to try paying again if I want to proceed with the...

Hotel in Turkey I booked gave me somewhat of a backhand threat?

The fact they might force me to pay or else won't let me check in is what makes me feel unsafe, not other things.

Hotel in Turkey I booked gave me somewhat of a backhand threat?

I wanted to stay at the previous one, in fact I liked it to the point where I had decided to only stay there for all my future visits. Sadly the hotel was closed permanently.

Hotel in Turkey I booked gave me somewhat of a backhand threat?

I agree, I took a quick decision without thinking because from a previous experience, I had the notion that I would need to re-book in order for them to try this.

Hotel in Turkey I booked gave me somewhat of a backhand threat?

One of the reviewers on Google said he was made to stay in a room with cracks and the walls of which was held by some metal contraption. I wouldn't be surprised if this ends up being an undercover brothel

Hotel in Turkey I booked gave me somewhat of a backhand threat?

There wasn't any option to choose a non-refundable rate. No one is denying that given the price, the hotel offers some great stuff, regardless of the fact if I am going to use them or not. Just that I don't feel safe within their establishment given the way they have handled the issue so far.

Hotel in Turkey I booked gave me somewhat of a backhand threat?

The hotel didn't coerce me. Please refer to the type of language they have been using when I was nothing but polite with them. If they are this aggressive when I am miles away, makes me wonder how they would treat me when I am there. lets say you go buy something at a store, your card gets...

Hotel in Turkey I booked gave me somewhat of a backhand threat?

I paid about $19 per night, I wasn't planning on eating their breakfast, all I wanted was a decent experience. I would still consider staying there if they hadn't used the type of language they did even when I was polite with them.
