Love your website..thanks for letting me vent. Just returned from Jet Blue flight, JFK to SEA. ONCE again, it became an overhead bin nightmare. Second time on Jet Blue I have encountered this personally. First of all, hooray for Jet Blue to allow 1st bag free. However, still a nightmare for overhead space. WHY??? I bring a backpack and large purse style bag when I travel. Packpack at feet, other bag in overhead. If you look at the plane, there is an overhead bin above every row. So plenty of room for the 3 of you in that row to stow a bag. AND that is if you have a bag within the size allowed, so that wheels should be stowed out. Seems simple, right? Hardly. I have now twice had a traveler (men both times), that has put their extra bag above my seat, thus filling the bin. First time, guy across from me, and last time, guy across and BEHIND me. And no, nothing at their feet, how comfortable for them. I contacted Jet Blue and asked them why don’t they 1. enforce the size limit so that each bag fits with wheels out, not sideways, and 2. ask their flight crew to announce that you are allowed to store above your row, and your row only, and then enforce it. I will tell you this much, next time this happens, I will stop in my spot and ask the flight attendant deal with it. IF I make a big deal out of it, half the people around me will be happy, the others, who abuse this space issue, will be ticked off.

In regards to complaints or a better deal with large companies,
l have found, if unsuccessfull with customer service, the best place to go is the retention dept. Aside from the ececutive office, the have the most flexibility to do things. l seldom been disappointed, because his is the department whose job is to hold on to customers.
