Ask the Armchair Traveler: the highs and lows of travel

They let the Armchair Traveler out of the office this week. Here’s his report on the “highs” and “lows” of travel, as he visits New Mexico and Colorado. Here’s a high-resolution version.

Special thanks to Grandma and Grandpa Haugeto for watching the kids while we were away. Couldn’t have made this trip without you!

    Chris,

Glad to see you enjoyed your self in my backyard (Albuquerque, NM), and up in southern CO. I must say that you are right on about the breathless breathtaking desert scenery that is Northern New Mexico. I am also gald that you were able to go up in a hot air balloon. That is something amazing that everyone should have a chance to do at least once. Now for the real deal, if you have not already, you need to get out here in October for the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta. Its a real sight to see, even if you are stuck on the ground.

Oh, I’d LOVE to do that. I think we’d like to take the kids in the fall of ’09. They’ll all be old enough.
