Here are a few personal details about the Elliott family.

Aren, Chris, Iden, Kari and Erysse live in the Orlando suburbs (pictured above in 2010). They love adventure. They’re currently on an extended trip to see America, and they’re blogging about it on their family travel site, Away is Home, and on National Geographic Traveler’s Intelligent Travel blog.

Chris is the oldest of five children, who are spread out across the world, from Finland to San Diego, Calif. His parents are happily retired from the ministry and living in Prescott, Ariz.

He spent his childhood in Austria (16 years) and Germany (2 years) before returning to the United States.

Chris is owned by three Bengal cats — Clio, Lia and Pollux. If you are not nice to him, you will have to answer to them.
