A reader’s guide to the content you’ll find on this site
Here are the types of stories and posts you’ll find on Elliott.org.
Posts. These are pure editorial products, sometimes also referred to as columns (an archaic old-media term). They’re usually assigned by an editor and then vetted through the normal editorial process.
Pages. Reference sections that explain the content you’ll find on this site. You are reading a page right now. My content-management application, WordPress, draws a distinction between a post and a page.
Meet the underwriter. This site is supported by an active network of corporate underwriters. From time to time, I offer them space on this site to talk about their products or services. However, I get to ask the questions and the sponsor exercises no editorial control over the post.
Sponsored posts. When underwriters want to call attention to an issue that affects consumers, they can commission an article or series of articles on a subject. They name the topic, but I report and write the post. Otherwise, the underwriter exercises no editorial control over the final story.
